An alternative to Big Tech

Excuse the mess here but we’re currently more busy developing products than having a nice looking webpage.

Products and Offerings

At the moment we are still in the process of developing most products. But We do offer system admin consultancy within network and server infrastructure. Read Williams CV if you want to hire a professional.

Educate the masses

We plan to educate the people about the benefits of using open-source technologies:

  • One of our first products will be a Linux Course for beginners.
  • Another upcoming course will be on the Foundations of Distributed Ledger Technologies, aka Blockchains
  • We also want to inform people about the importance of privacy and how to protect your integrity on the Internet and elsewhere.

Fully open sourced IT infrastructure

We encourage On-Premise before Cloud Solutions because this gives more control over your data. This website is hosted On-Prem, powered by Wordpress, pfSense, Proxmox VE and Docker Compose. Other valid alternatives are blockchain-based dApps.

We are currently building our On-Prem IT platform on based on following Technologies:

  • Proxmox VE – Open-source Hypervisor alternative to VMWare ESXi
  • pfSense – Open-source firewall and network appliance
  • VyOS – Open-source router and network platform
  • EdgeCore – Open-source switches and access points running OpenWRT
  • TrueNAS – Open-source storage platforms
  • Nextcloud – Open-source alternative to Microsoft 365
  • FreeIPA – Open-source IDM alternative to Microsoft AD
  • EJBCA – Open-source certificate authority
  • And more

Information about these technologies can be found on this substack: https://opensourceisfun.substack.com/p/open-source-infrastructure-guides

Decentralized solutions

In the future we are also going to look into possible blockchain-related solutions that we can endorse. Right now we are more focused on education and IT infrastructure

Open Source Is Fun

There is not much to read here right now but we are considering migrating the substack posts over here
